ZEUGMA The Ancient CityZeugma is an ancient city of Commagene; currently located in the Gaziantep Province of Turkey. It is a historical settlement which is considered among the four most important settlement areas under the reign of the kingdom of Commagene. It was named for the bridge of boats, or Zeugma, which crossed the Euphrates there. The ancient city of Zeugma was originally founded as a Greek settlement by Seleucus I Nicator, one of the generals of Alexander the Great, in 300 BC. King Seleucus almost certainly named the city Seleucia after himself; whether this city is, or can be, the city known as Seleucia on the Euphrates or Seleucia at the Zeugma is disputed. The population in the city at its peak was approximately 80,000. In 64 BC Zeugma was conquered and ruled by the Roman Empire and with this shift the name of the city was changed into Zeugma, meaning "bridge-passage" or "bridge of boats". During Roman rule, the city became one of the attractions in

This is my DD suggestion. The photo touched my heart so deeply.
Yes, there is a life between 2 photos and there is love between the model and photographer.

A La Recherche du Temps PerduA few days later 2012 will be a memory...And We can not believe that we lived all that bitter sweet moments in a period of TıME...Because humanity is close to forget the things easily when they are young but, remember them so clearly when some TIME passsed. Or let me say in some other words, when you get aged you will always think balancing the things so, when I asked what did I do last year or what was the best experiment that I lived this year...It was having a photo session with :iconcanankk:
I used to photograph antic cities and neat sculptures from museum but, I had not any chance to work with a model since years. I was so willingly prepare myself to have that photo event of mine. In the other hand I was so excited ( honestly feared a bit ) because she is not only a beautiful lady but a so humanist person. She is an artist as well as she is a humble woman. She is so kind and also graceful and she adds some

A Dream Came True...Once I saw some photographs taken at Salt Late with a model. She was wearing a black tight so we can see her body-scape very obviously. She was letting free a pink textile one of her hand and it was waving with the wind very fantastically. Since that day I was planning to go and capture some shots at Salt lake with a proper model...
A few months before :iconcanankk: called me and informed that there is a photo-tour to salt lake with a model. So I went there to take some photos...You will see some photograph taken by me while much better ones taken by :iconcanankk: like you see above. They are minimalistic and perfectly composed according to me.

TRIBUTE TO MADEMOISSLE ALICEI FOUND THE BOX IN AN OLD WARDROBE, IT WAS HIDDEN UNDER THE OLD CLOTHES THAT UNCLE WAS NOT USING THEM. I BROUGHT IT TO MY UNCLE, HE SAID “IF YOU ARE CURIOUS ABOUT ALICE, HERE YOU CAN FIND HER ADRESS” WHILE HE WAS PASSING TO ME A LETTER WRITTEN BY A NICE HANDWRITING. WE STOP TALKING FOR SOME TIME, THEN HE ASKED ME TO READ THE LETTER. HE WAS LOOKING OUT OF THE WINDOW AT FIRST, ONE CAN SUPPOSE HE WAS NOT LISTENING…AFTER A FEW MINUTE HIS VOICE JOINED TO MINE, HE WAS REPEATING HER WORDS, HE GOT THE WORDS BY HEART ONE BY ONE…
I SPEND THE WHOLE AFTERNOON AT “PATISSERIE MARQUISE” THINKING WHAT TO DO.
BECAUSE YOU EVEN DON’T COME TO FACE THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR FAITH, I DECIDED FOR BOTH OF US. BUT FIRST I WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOME TRUTH….I LOVED YOU MECID, LOVED YOU AS YOU ARE; BUT THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH. YOU LOVED A GIRL FROM ISTANBUL FOR PLACING YOUR SELF
A Gifted Talent XXXV...MarkDear friends of the arts please allow me to introduce to you Mark and his digitally abstract impressionistic art. Some of you may already know of Mark's work but for those of you who don't…do take the time to visit his gallery. A rewarding trip I'm sure you'll find it to be.
I am not qualified to go into the techniques of Mark's creative process. I can only judge my opinions based on how the art affects me emotionally upon viewing. Does it strike emotional chords within me? Sincerely he art does. Time and again.
I find his work to be mainly impressionistic abstract in nature. There is another whole world going on deep inside the literal, yet subtle, subjects he creates. His work is precise, intelligent and designed with a seemingly conceptional purpose in mind. Each viewer can and will take away their very own interpretation of the world he digitally paints using color, texture and brush stroke as the tools to transport us from commonly used harsh lines to a softer impressionisti
A Gifted Talent XXX...MJDear friends of the arts please allow me to introduce to you MJ and her delightfully "small world" of photographic art.
MJ calls somewhere near Chicago, USA, home and it is there that she finds a new face and look at the Windy City. It is a feather in her cap that in spite of those winds she can capture the most delicate nuances of nature in an expressively poetic fashion. As an artist MJ works through the lens of a camera mainly but lately has begun posting drawings which certainly hint that this artist's well of creativity runs deep.
Many of you know of MJ's fine macro work...and many more should in my honest opinion. You'll come away after a "walk" through her gallery with these words of Mother Teresa in mind (as found on MJ's home page in light of her artistic statement)...""Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier...."
They say its a small small world but thankfully there is an MJ in it to bring it into focus for us all. She succinctly shows us through her ca
CORYCUS-KIZ KALESIAncient Corycus was a big city. We can understand that some people settled here at 4 th cetuary BC. It's been announced by Heredot that citadel was founded by king Georges , The Prince of Cyprus. Selevkios and Byzantine ages are gone faster. It's been conquered by Romans at 72 AC and kept on being an important settlement during 450 years. It was very famous producer of olive and Olive oil at that period. Then became parts of Byzantine Empire, Seljuks, Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, Oghuz Turks of Karamanids, and finally Ottoman Empire. In Turkish history, it is known as Prince Cem Sultan's departing point from Turkey in 1482 after his defeat in civil war on his way to Rome. After Cem's departure, Kızkalesi became the winter settlement of nomadic Turkmens tribes known as Ayaş. It is declared as a seat of township in 1992.
A Gifted Talent XXXIII...MadeleineDear friends of the arts please allow me to introduce to you Madeleine and her perspicacious talent for tapping into an artistic utopia.
I know many of you may already know of her work but for those of you who don't...my hope is that you will find her work as inspirational as I have.
Madeleine is an artist from Canada and for me her work is always visually inscriptive...showing an in-depth talent for the art of Photomanipulation.
DA defines Photomanipulations as the combining of two or more separate images to make one. So simple in theory and yet so hard in execution as I well know, being one who couldn't manip his way out of a paper bag. To create any art in this process alone is commendable but to create the fine art that she does, time and again, is frankly speaking...exemplary.
As Madeleine commented on one of her pieces, "A gentle child cherishes a globe and contemplates a world filled with peace and love"...I think you will find this a recurring theme throughout her fine body of
A Gifted Talent XXXII...ChristianeDear friends of the arts please allow me to introduce to you Christiane and her wonderfully creative visionary work.
I know many of you may already know of her work but for those of you who don't...I think you will find it as stimulating as I have.
Christiane is an artist living and working in Germany. She communicates the visual world as an abstractionist prophetess. There is always a story told or an idealism unveiled within her work.
She brings her creations to life through various mediums such as painting, photography, collage and the occasional digital process.
This is not "knock your socks off" Hollywood blockbuster technically perfect pulp fiction that she has visually written. It is more the stuff of intellectual poetic expressionism. A much more interesting and finer read in my book.
Although Christiane works in the abstract I find her to be deeply rooted in the stark reality of the hoped for utopia DA was founded on...the sharing of art and conceptional ideas that will
